About

Hey there, so I started my career way back in 2002 working as an Information Architect in Amsterdam. My job was to help online shoppers easily find what they were looking for, like a nice pair of sneakers, on some of the early marketplace websites. After that I became an Interaction Designer at the famous design firm IDEO in California. Then I did some more design consulting work in London and Amsterdam.

Fast forward to 2012, and now I was calling myself a User Experience Designer. That’s when I moved to France and led the design of several startups and growing companies from the very beginning.

I’ve now come to a pivotal year, 2024. Working with data scientists really made me realize that information architecture has always been at the core of what I do. You know, helping people find and understand information to get a task done or make a decision. I got curious about a new field called Explainable AI. Making AI easy for users to understand will be so important for its future success. In my opinion, that’s the most interesting challenge in design today.
